The sale was announced by a the Tall Ships Youth Trust in letter dated September 22 but posted on their website this morning. In addition to the Stavros S. Niarchos, the Trust also operates four identical 22 m Challenger yachts and a 19 metre catamaran.
Delighted she is back in active service. Hopefully we shall see her at the Waterford Sail Festival June/July 2011. Safe sailing PNS Rah Naward and
Good Watch.
I have sailed as crew on the Prince William dozens of times.
I was at the building of her, I was at the Launch and naming, I was at the decommissioning.I have many stories and memories.
I was crew on the Stavros when the Pakistani Naval Officers were learning the ropes, we sailed on the Tall ships race, Kristiansand Norway to Hartlepool.
I will follow her progress with interest, I wish her well.
I had a cup of tea on board , amazing !!

I sailed on a one of the first voyages to Waterford and was completely hooked, Managed several trips and day sails on both ships. Had to give up because of back trouble and never knew where “PW” had gone until now.I loved that ship and all our happy crews.
