On this eve of the eve of All Hallows Eve, it seems worthwhile to list a few of the “ghost” ships open to the public on Halloween.
Hornet Ship of Spirits – This evening , on the historic aircraft carrier USS Hornet in Alameda CA, there will be a presentation the real stories of the ghosts on the USS Hornet, followed on Saturday by a USS Hornet Monster Bash.
The Haunted Ship at the USS Salem – Spooky tours and events through Sunday on the heavy cruiser USS Salem in Quincy, MA.
Captain Fishsticker’s Ship of Horrors – Revival Burlesque is performing “Captain Fishsticker’s Ship of Horrors” tonight through Sunday on the lovely Barkentine Gazela in Philadelphia, PA.
Fifth annual Halloween Haunted Ship aboard the USS Turner Joy – Festivities in Bremerton, WA on the Vietnam War era destroyer, Turner Joy.
U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Mobile Bay Ghost Ship – In Sturgeon Bay, WI, kids and adults will be ushered through various haunted rooms throughout the USCGC Mobile Bay. Treats will be available for the kids.
Ghost Ship: Battleship North Carolina – Spooky fun on the haunted USS North Carolina in Wilmington, NC.
Ghostly Sea Shanty Boat Trip – On the other side of the pond in Belfast harbor, the Ghostly Sea Shanty Ship will sail the harbour today and tommorrow with its scary complement of passengers dressed as Ghosts, Ghouls & Witches!!
Halloween Ghost Ship Ball on HMS President – A fancy dress ball on the HMS President (1918) moored in Victoria Embankment, Blackfriars, London for a voyage of horrific & freighting fun for all.

No Zombies on the LST – Sadly the LST Zombie Ship in Muskegon, MI has been sunk this year by a lack of city permits. Who knew that the un-dead could be vanquished by bureaucracy.
