A few photos from a recent visit to the Star of India at the Maritime Museum of San Diego. The Star of India was built in in 1863 as Euterpe, a full-rigged iron windjammer ship, in Ramsey, Isle of Man. The Maritime Museum of San Diego has done a fantastic job at resorting, maintaining and sailing the grand old ship.

Loved the photos and the conference. Shared on my FB for my friends. Thank YOU
Glad you liked the photos. I enjoyed the conference as well.
I love the photos, it makes me proud to see others enjoy our hard work. I am crew on the Star and I recognize Steve W, Susan and Randy in your pics. We will be sailing her off San Diego this November for her B-Day.
Hey Steve,
You all should be very proud of the job that you have done on the Star of India and other ships in the MMSD fleet. It was great seeing the old Rose in such good shape as well.
We do our best, as you know it is a never ending labor of love to keep the vessels seaworthy. Following is a link to a video I made of our 2007 annual sail.
