The Norwegian frigate Helge Ingstad, which collided with the tanker Sola TS near Bergen, has now largely been raised from where it sank last November. The ship has been moored to the two crane lifts Gulliver and Rambiz which were used to raise the ship. As much water as possible is being pumped from the frigate in preparation for lifting the ship onto a deck barge for transport to a shipyard.
TU Maritime reports: When the keel on Helge Ingstad is raised to 4.8 meters below the waterline, the barge Boabarge 33 can be positioned under the frigate. The barge will then be deballasted and lift the frigate over the last few meters over water.
If everything goes according to plan, the vessel will be transported to the Haakonsvern for preservation, preservation, and de-marching after the raising. Finally, an assessment of the damage must be made and whether the vessel is to be phased out or repaired.

The frigate is still too heavy to raise
KNM Helge Ingstad is so full of water that it is too heavy for the barge Boabarge 33.

For written report.
I thought it already had holes in the hull to let the water out?

I may be wrong, please correct me, but I gathered from the Chat to the right of the live YouTube video channel that A the base she is being taken to is ‘underground’ [although some of it can be seen via Google?] and B the drydock there is presently in use so the frigate is likely to remain on the barge for the time being. Some are of the opinion that transmissions will in any case be terminated soon for security reasons. Time will tell. What costly mistakes. But at least Norwegian reputation and pride has been somewhat recovered by such a professional recovery.
The moral is “Keep a good lookout.” ?
At 1808 the transmission is still live.

Frigate in front of Haakonsvern
The frigate arrived just before 22 in the Sunday evening.
On Sunday, KNM Helge Ingstad was towed from Hanøytangen to Haakonsvern. Defense material started the towing just after 18.00.
Around 22:30 on Sunday evening, the frigate finally arrived at the naval base, almost three months after it collided and eventually sank into Hjeltefjorde
The frigate was transported on the deck of Boabarge 33 the 7 nautical miles from Hanøytangen to Haakonsvern. The transport was followed by several vessels from the Norwegian Coastal Administration and the Navy.
